Visual and dimensional examination. Sample bath hooks shall be selected from each lot and examined for specified visual and dimensional characteristics. Samples shall be selected in accordance with General, Inspection Level 1, AQL 2.5 percent defective. Existence of one or more of the following defects shall constitute failure of the sample unit:
Fasteners not concealed, not supplied, or not of compatible material.
Hooks not integral with wall flange.
Dimensions are not specified.
Unit of free of burrs, flashing, sharp edges, or sharp corners.
Unit contains defects that will affect serviceability or appearance.
Testing. Sample robe hooks shall be selected from each lot and load tested and finish performance tested in accordance with ANSI A156.16. Samples shall be selected in accordance with Special Inspection Level S-3, AQL 2.5 percent defective. Failure of any sample unit to conform with stated requirements shall constitute rejection of that sample unit.
Examination for preparation for delivery. An inspection shall be made to determine whether the packaging, packing and marking comply with the requirements of the contract or purchase order. Examination of defects shall be in accordance with table I. For examination of interior packaging, the sample unit shall be one shipping container fully prepared for delivery. Sampling shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. The lot size shall be the number of shipping containers in the end item inspection lot. The inspection level shall Special Inspection Level S-2 with an AQL of 4.0 defects per hundred units.
