Standard commercial product. The robe hooks shall, as a minimum, be in accordance with the requirements of this specification and except for acquisitions from the Federal Prison Industries or from the blind and severely handicapped as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulations subparts 8.6 and 8.7 shall be the manufacturer’s standard commercial or commercial-type product. Additional or better features, which are not specifically prohibited by this CID but are a part of the manufacturer’s standard commercial product, shall be included in the robe hooks being furnished.
Workmanship. The robe hooks shall be clean of burrs and flashing and shall have no sharp edges or corners, no defects in appearance, and no defects which will affect serviceability.
Quality assurance provisions.
Responsibility for Inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified in this CID. Except as otherwise specified, the contractor may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections or tests set forth in the specifications where such action is deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. The contractor is responsible for insuring that components and materials used were manufactured, examined, and tested in accordance with referenced specifications and standards.
SAMPLING. Sampling for examination and test shall be in accordance with Military Standard MIL-STD-105 ‘SAMPLING PROCEDURES AND TABLES FOR INSPECTION BY ATTRIBUTE’. A lot shall consist of all hooks of one type submitted for inspection at one time, a sample unit shall be one robe hook with fasteners.
