REQUIREMENTS:
1. Material:
Body: Brass, in accordance with ASTM B36/36M, UNS No. C26000, C26800, C27200, C28000 or ASTM B121/121M.
Steel, in accordance with ASTM A506 Low Carbon, Cold Rolled.
Pin: Brass, in accordance with ASTM B36/36M, UNS No. C26000, C26800, C27200, C28000 or ASTM B121/121M.
2. Protective coating. Brass, uncoated, polished, lacquered.
Steel, bright brass, plated, in accordance with BHMA A156.18, finish US3.

3. Part number: The part number shall consist of the basic MS sheet number plus a dash number taken from table I.

MS27964-2 Indicates: Hinge, Butt, Cabinet, Brass, Length 1.00; Width 3.06. NOTES:
1. Screws: Hinges are furnished with wood screws. The sizes specified are those normally furnished by the supplier.
2. All dimensions in inches, unless otherwise specified.
3. In the event of a conflict between the text of this standard and the references cited herein, the text of this standard shall take precedence.
4. Changes from previous issue. Marginal notations are not used in this revision to identify changes with respect to the previous issue due to the extent of the changes.
